Emergency Medical Responder Patch
EMR patch is 3″ inches in diameter “EMR Emergency Medical Responder” in burgundy letters around the outside edge. Embroidered navy blue and white Star of Life and additional white background. Professional and long-wearing, this patch will look great on your uniform or gear for years. We designed this patch based. In over a dozen States the First Responder training name changed to Emergency Medical Responder to reduce confusion among other “First Responders” (police and fire workers) The course is one level below EMT training but far more training than a 1 or 2 day “Advanced First Aid” or “Wilderness First Aid” course.
The EMR trained responder will have all the basic first aid CPR skills and include additional training trauma and in more subtle injuries and illnesses. Typically this course is used in Police and Fire Academies, Park Rangers, Professional Lifeguards, wilderness guides, Scout leaders, boat crew members, Ambulance Drivers, and others interested in EMS professions. The term EMR was created shortly after 9 / 11 to help distinguish medical first responders from other “First Responders” like police and fire personnel arriving on-scene. First responders and Emergency Medical Responders are at the same level nationally and one step below EMTs.
